The release marks the first half of Mat the Rat’s perilous journey, with the concluding chapter, Season 2, planned for release in late 2026.

Mat’s journey begins in the relative safety of an old wine cellar, but his love for Nat takes him into the heart of a giant’s household. This season follows Mat’s rise as a Scavenger, the discovery of a dark conspiracy within the rat commune, and a dramatic betrayal that leaves him stranded far from home and desperate to return. It is a cozy story of small heroes facing massive consequences.
